JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing general accounting support to the organization. This position will be responsible for a wide range of projects and cross-trained on a variety of functions. This position will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization, as well as ensuring processes and policies are followed as it relates to the department.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be a "professional thinker" who embraces change and never stops learning
• Post payments to customer accounts and prepare bank deposit daily
• Reconcile daily cash and credit card payments
• Post daily wire/EFT transactions
• Reconcile credit card payments from online planroom to accounting system
• Reconcile and transfer intercompany cash transactions
• Process credit card payments in the accounting system
• Assist in processing customer credit applications
• Reconcile American Express Corporate card transactions to the statement
• Processes vendor application requests
• Trains and serves as back-up to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree in accounting required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline is preferred
• 2+ years of relevant accounting and application experience
• Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Solid organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills are a must
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Must be highly detailed and self-motivated
